Greetings,
Both tanks on my truck have worked with no problems (well, ok, so the senders don't work!!). Recently, the rear tank gives out with about 5 gals left in it. It doesn't just sputter letting me know its time to switch, it sputters for miles even after switching tanks at the first sign of cutting out. I've replaced the fuel filter but this problem seems specific to the rear tank....... Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Lance

sounds like what happened is the fuel pickup screen is rubber and gets brittle and falls off leaving your suction tube shorter and leaves about a quarter tank of fuel and the reason it runs bad for awhile after you switch is you've already sucked some air and it takes a little while to work the air out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/warmsmile.gif
