Noticed some tranny fluid leaking it appears from bolt on rear of pan on 2002 f350. Looked high and low and can't find anuy other source of leak other than from pan gasket. Checked around shifter shaft but dry. Should I try to tighten the bolts(they are not loose) or get new pan gasket and put it on??

Check to see if the bolts loose. They also strip very easy so be careful

Also only go with an oem gasket

I recommend using a torque wrench on the pan bolts to be sure they're all tightened evenly. Check proper torque specs. I would have overtightened them the first time if I didn't have a torque wrench. If you don't have one, check that the pan hasn't been bent from over tightening and snug them down evenly with a 1/4" ratchet.

Thanks for correcting me, Mark. Been a while since I changed fluid. I just didn't want OP to over tighten pan bolts. I'll edit my post so it doesn't steer anyone wrong.

Yeah, still not very much, so an inch-lb torque wrench is advised.
