Took everything apart, lubed the gaskets and channels with silicone, rear window on the drivers side still refuses to go up on it's own. Goes down with the same speed as the rest.

When I opened the window motor it looked nothing like what is on the internet....maybe because it's a 97? Cleaned it out and greased....works good on the bench.

Could the motor just not have enough umph to get the window up again? The most resistance seems to be from the center travel channel.

That's the "common" motor i've seen while searching. Mine is a solid metal large gear driven by a metal worm gear.

Can't post pictures as the motor is back in the door now.

I ordered a new motor, will see if that is the ticket.
