Anybody here ever rebuilt a CAV DPA-type injector pump? Is it a PITA? Fixing to do one on my Massey tractor.....wondering what I might be getting into.

Personally i would say just send it out to get rebuilt. any good show will run it on a test stand and verify that everything is A OK.

Figured I'd give it a shot myself, always wondered what the guts looked like. I've a full machine shop at my disposal, and one of the best diesel shops in the region just a mile from where I work in case I screw it up! Already have the rebuild kit coming, so figure I'm halfway there.
