Actually received the letters about the CSP's out there that I thought would be on request only and expire soon. Seems as though now it will expire in Dec. of 09 and any damage due to not having them done will not be covered under warranty.

The ventury T seems needed.

But it was my understanding that the regen at idle would end with this update. I like having the option of regen at idle as well as while driving because we do as much city driving as highway, and the extended drive it takes to complete a cycle may be hard to finish.

Just my 2 cents.

Yes, effective with the flash in TSB 08-13-2 and 08-13-3 (back on 6/17/08) there are no more regens in park. See here for details. I'm reasonably sure this was for liability reasons. I know the high exhaust temp fried the lawn at a hotel in San Diego (I backed into the parking spot and it did a regen); I can only imagine the anxious lawyers fresh from the infamous "flamethrower" exhaust issues telling the engineers in no uncertain terms that regens at idle must go. I don't think GM/Dodge trucks ever did regens in park.
