I have a 2000 F350 crew cab dually. I am upgrading from the stock hitch to a Reese Titan V. I am getting three or four different model numbers from different web sites that sell these things.
Anyone have one of these on a 2000 F350 crew cab?
Anyone have a specific number?

The numbers that I have are R45014 and R45012 and R45008. Which one is specifically for the 2000 F350 dually?

Thanks, I will continue looking on line but would prefer info from someone who actually has installed one on their truck.

OK. got it.
The R45014 is for a truck with the 34" frame.
The R45012 is for a truck with a 10" drop bumper.
The R45008 is for a truck with the 37" frame.

Now.....is the 2000 F350 crew cab dually a 34 or 37" frame?

I *think* that chassis-cabs are on a 34" frame, while pickup-bodied trucks are on the 37" frame. Your tape-measure will tell you for sure, though! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Now, on the 10" drop bumper part #... is that for a 10" bumper on a 34" truck or a 37" truck?

Not enough info. Is your Dooley a pickup or a chassis cab. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Pickups have the "wide" frame. Chassis cabs have the industry-standard "narrow" frame.

Hmmm. Smokey you have seen my truck. It is a "standard" pickup truck. So I guess it is the wide frame if the chassis cab unit is the narrow frame.
Thanks for the responses.

I just bought the 45008 from etrailer.com. I installed it last week. I took the advice of someone here and cut off the bracket for the trailer harness and just left the one i have attached to the bumper. Friggin beefy hitch compared to stock.

Did you have to drill the frame to install it?

The Titan V hitch uses existing frame holes to mount. I put one on my 2002 crew cab about 2 months ago and it couldn't have been easier. Just be sure to clean the frame where you mount it and then go back after a couple of tows and recheck the mounting bolts. If there is any crap left on the frame it will compact and the bolts will be slightly loose. Good luck and have fun.

no drilling. quick painless install. I did cut the piece of with a sawzall for the trailer wiring. Total time is about an hour.
