Are there any ford techs on here that can tell me if you can change the running time of a ford remote starting system. 10min is just not enough time when it is -40C out there! Also can you hook up the rear window defrost feature on the remote to turn on the heated seats? I have five or six wires not hooked up on this thing and would like to know what they are for, If someone has a schematic for these could you please pm me. Thanks!

There is an output for defrost etc. You can select 25 min or 12 min according to this manual...

Here is the manual to the Code Alarm CA630 auto start it is similar ot the Gold. I did read that the programming is different so this may not work for you.

i wouldnt use remote start. i used to have it, but everyone who has had it around here on there trucks, after a while it causes them to quit running while driving due to electrical problems

I wouldn't use electricity either, it causes house fires:eek3:. Like anything in life it is only as good or bad as the person installing it. My auto start was installed well soldered and taped connections and should last another 100K.:thumbsup:
