What is the socket size used to remove the fuel filter located on the frame of the truck??

Same as the oil filter, 36MM. If I remember correctly the top filter is 22MM. The top filter has a 1/2" socket fitting, but I found that mine is already broken in one of the corners, so used the socket. Just did mine today and found both to be on very tight.

What I like is when doing the fuel filter on the frame is all the diesel fuel running along down the frame. Quite fun! Unless someone has came up with something that I'm probably missing. Maybe a towel underneath? Either way still not exactly user friendly.
