I have the heads off my engine right now.
Would it be easy to remove the oil cooler from topside with the head off ?
If so, I'll go ahead and put some new Orings in the thing. It's not leaking much, but does have a lot of old caked up residue on it.
If I can get to it from the top, now would be a good time.

Thanks------Robert

Yes, now's the time. The only better time is with the engine pulled.

I picked up the parts today About $45 at the Navistar dealer ( ouch ) Of course that wasn't as bad as the $47 for a coolant temp switch for the glow plug / fast idle circuit

Thanks---------Robert

Be sure you get all of the old gaskets off of the mating surfaces of the block or you'll be doing it again. Treat it like teh head and mating surface...not one spot, no, not even a fingerprint.
