The Helms manuals are great (Factory Ford manuals) I use a 96 set that has been a lifesaver over the years www.helminc.com

A quick copy from Patrick Feeley -

POWERTRAIN CONTROL/EMISSION DIAGNOSIS SHOP MANUAL SET
1994: FPS1210694 $112.00
1995: FCS1210695 $130.00
1996: FCS1210696 $160.00
1997: FCS1210697 $160.00

LIGHT TRUCK SHOP MANUAL SET
1994: FPS1210794 $90.00
1995: FCS1210795 $90.00
1996: FCS1210796 $90.00
1997: FCS1210797 $90.00

ELECTRICAL & VACUUM TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL (EVTM)
1994: FPS1212994 $30.00
1995: FCS1225495 $32.00
1996: FCS1225496 $32.00
1997: FCS1225497 $32.00

CD-ROM’s
1996: FCS1277496RT $125.00
1997: FCS1277497RT $125.00

The Helm website can be a pain. For model, put in F-series instead of the actual model (F350, F250, etc.). You will notice other manuals as well, but I just listed the basics. At a minimum, get the shop manual set and the EVTM. Powertrain/Emissions Diagnosis is good if you have the diagnostic capability. I prefer paper over CD’s, but the CD’s do contain the whole enchilada (Shop, P/E Diag, amd EVTM). It’s much easier (I think) to flip around the paper versions and find things. Hope this helps! Cheers!

I have the 1997 Ford manual/Technical service publications for Windows on CD.... it has quite a bit of repair info as well as schematics, drawings, etc. I certainly don't mind sharing for the cost of a new CD and S&H.

Covers all 1997 Ford products
I purchased it with my truck, and not looking to making a buck out of it.... I believe in 'knowledge should be free'... know what I mean?
I don't think that would be breaking any copyright laws

I got the Ford service CD off ebay for something like $20.
It's a little cumbersome, but is packed full of info and is very helpful once you learn your way around.
