Has any one run into this before?

The supply line fits, but the return line does not. It connects to the Fuel pressure regulator on the bowl.

Outside of getting the part from a dealer, it seems Dorman makes most of these lines.

As a work around (if ford made a change), I was also wondering if I could get a Fuel Pressure regulator (with a different thread, changed), as it does come of the bowl.

is it too short?

dieselorings sells a billet fpr housing with stiffer springs. it sticks out a little farther and might give you the clearance you need.

No, it's not too short. The return line fitting just doesn't fit where it attaches to the bowl. The return line attaches with no problem. It's the right part, but it has a manufacturing flaw. It's supposed to be a 5/16 attachment, but the piece on the new metal line is too small.

I decided to try a work around solution and see if I could find a some sort of adapter that would connect both sides. Went to 2 auto stores (Pep Boys, NAPA) and couldn't get the right fitting. Even went to Lowes (Hardware), but no luck. Was able to play around with the piece at Lowes, and determined it's some odd size.

I tried I tried larger and smaller sizes but nothing was fitting. I did not see an issue with the thread count, so it seems the size on my new pipe was 11/32?

Going to make it easy and buy a new pipe from RiffRaff.
