I just installed a set of Ride Rite airbags. Question for those who have them. When I look at the rigid parts of the airbag kit--the top and bottom pieces that hold the bag in place--they aren't lined up directly under one another. It appears the top needs to go toward the center of the truck or the bottom needs to go outward. It's off by about 3/8". It's the same on both sides and it is the correct kit for the truck and installed per the instructions. Not sure you can get the top repositioned without serious modification. But the bottom piece could be worked with to get it to move out some. Just trying to figure out if this is something to worry about or the slight misalignment is no big deal? It appears to me the bottom piece isn't quite right--maybe that's the downfall of "universal" parts. Thanks, Gibson.

i had the same issues....the spring hangers on our trucks arnt at the same hights front and rear one is higher than the other.....so in effect the springs at the axil arnt level to begine with....i asked all around and no one seemed the leaste bid worried about it.....and i cant see an easy fix ...so i just tried it out......but im so heavy that the air bags arnt enoughf......springs being installed now...but back to topic ...i think to lift the weight that they "CAN" ....you are all right.....one thing i did ...i was appauled at the completely lame and in-adiquate hardware that came with the bags.....thisw bolts are the kind i would use on my gate not my truck.....so i upgraded every bolt with class 8 and used ny-lock nuts...found that the bags were loose where they connected to the upper and lower plates.....then adjusted them as straight as possable ....by moveing the bottom plate over as far as possable good luck....

Not sure if you can tell from this angle, but HERE is a photo of Ride Rites on my 2000 DRW. The next photo in the series is from the other direction.

I didn't notice a misalignment in the vertical plane when I installed them. They are NOT the no-drill variety.
