After 15 years the compressor for my air bags finally gave out, I’m looking for recommendations for a replacement. I’d like one that would fill faster than the old one.

Viair is a known supplier and likely good quality. They have a wide range of onboard air systems. (Disclaimer - I don't have an onboard compressor, not an interest in Viair.) You could get by with a tiny compressor if you put in a storage tank to store high pressure air. As long as you didn't try to fill the air bags frequently (like every 10 minutes - not a real need to do that), a little compressor would do just fine. It would just run a bit longer to recharge the tank.

I’d like a quality replacement, The one I have is the Firestone kit with gauge

You should be able to replace just the compressor and wire/plumb it in just like the original.

If you feel like you got good service out of your Firestone compressor than I would just replace it with the same one. On my last trip I had a bad air bag and used the crap out of mine. I had to fiull mine a lot because I was towing mu=y RV. I think mine is taking longer to fill my air bags then before. I am looking at replacing mine after winter. I will just get the Firestone one. I would like a bigger compressor though.

My compressor is extremely slow to fill and bleeds off over night, never bleed off before. Id like a bigger compressor as well. But don't know which one to buy. Im looking at Firestone WR17609377 as my replacement

I’ve been running the Air Lift 72000 Compressor for over two years now on my 2011 F350. So far it’s given me no issues. I installed it on the frame just above the spare tire and ran the power wiring to the fuse box under the hood. Works great.

When I buy a new truck that’s the one I’ll buy. I get tired of replacing the batteries in my 72000 controller.

The second compressor came in today, Same size as the first one.Before I replace the compressor, I might just replace the switch, I do have a spare.

The problem is some days there's air in the bags and others the bags are empty. Somedays when I try and add air to the bags they will not fill, or extremely slow to fill.

On days in Nebraska where the weather got up to 80deg, no pressure loss over night, Days were it got in the 30s it would loose all the pressure

The other day I came home from Nebraska pulling the 5th wheel (12hr drive) and did not loose any pressure. Once I got home and unhooked from the camper, Over night (8hr) the bags lost pressure.

Makes no since, But I do have a spare switch so I will try that first.

You should really look into the wirelessly controlled 74000 if the switch doesn’t work. It has a manifold that controls each bag together or individually. I’ve never lost air on a drive or sitting overnight. And it only takes about a minute and a half to get my bags to 85 psi.

I have an Air Lift 25980EZ in my 2022, I dont want to spend $600 for another one!
