Comparing “only” the issue of fuel being deadheaded and air trapped in the cylinder heads does the Riffraff FRx perform as well as a Regulated Return? I understand the advantages of the R.R. but to be honest my only concern at this time is correcting the deadheading and the difference in price between the two. Thanks!

Yes it does. they both do the same thing. The regulated return is just easier to adjust the fuel pressure you just turn the knob, not replace a spring. I have the FRx and it is dirt simple, the advantage is no regulator to fail. Bang for the buck FRx wins.
