I got a lot of blowby im using a quart of oinl about every 700-900 miles got a small leak around ebpv rod just wondering if it would be safe to make a 3000mile roundtrip roadtrip.
You sure thats the EBPV rod leaking or the turbo?
Just went though this on Scotts 95 and I just looked at my 97, see some oil there so going to plan a date to remove turbo and rebuild.
Use some carb cleaned and flush it off, may even have to scrape some, start and watch bet it is coming from turbo pedistal.
Pulling the turbo is not fun but doing it at home under controlled environment rather than on the side of the highway or having to pay someone else to do it is much better.

yeah i read about the turbo leaking like that but i cleaned it up and watched it come out of the ebpv because i got so much blowby i see the smoke come out around that rod.
Clean it up real good with laquer thinner, scrape get all the old baked on stuff off, coat with IH T-442 grey sealer, done!
Or pull turbo, cut off EBPV acuator barrell and have the oil feed and return holes welded up, Done forever!
