Is the above is true, it is about time. I drive my beloved 2000 F250 PSD for 15 years now and see no need to over fuel. Yet, when I am on the highway, other "modified" diesel pickup trucks thinks its "cool" to soot up the air. If a diesel has a worn / malfunctioning injectors(s) - OK, I can give the operator some leeway. BUT, to intentionally modifiy to produce "Rolling Coal", gives me and the rest of the responsible diesel owners a bad image.

This is the same as motorcyclists running straight or drilled out exhaust baffles ruining the image of the legit bikers out there.

I say, good, let there be legistration on fining the "coal rollers" and "straight pipe" bikers" also.

The rest of us will breath and drive / ride more quiet.

Couldn't agree more, butchcassidy1. Whenever a screwy kid asks here or elsewhere how he can make more smoke (the public is REALLY impressed of course) he's generally told to stuff a dirty rag in his air cleaner duct.
