Originally done by OK Thumper. You can use a foam 3/8" backer seal from Lowe's if I remember right and pull up inside the door seal. I used talc powder and a wire to pull through. Helped with door rattle and makes a tighter seal. Take your time and ease it through otherwise it will break. I also remember someone using surgical tubing but the foam is cheaper.
Hope this helps.

I used 1/8 clear tubing and fit it in the overhead rain gutter and oiled it and slid it in the hollow weatherstrip around each door. It tightened and quietened everything real well.

I'll try to get some pics but the tubing just lays in the rain channel above the doors. In the weather strip around the inside of the door opening there is a slit where the pieces join at the bottom. Just oil the tubing and push it in the opeining at the bottom and work it a little at a time all the way around the strip. I used spray oil with a red tube to oil just ahead of the end of the tube as I fed it in. There are holes made in the weather strip where you can spray the oil in.

good luck

I did the silicon tubing. Worked real well and wasn't as difficult to feed as the foam. Just used WD-40. It was pricier though. The 50' roll cost me $25.00 online but it would cost double that if you bought it at Ace Hardware.

Glad I did it.

[/ QUOTE ]Dave, what diameter of tubing worked best for you?

It was 3/8" tubing I believe. The package (and the way it had to be ordered) was by the inside diameter. It also gave the wall thickness, thus causing me to do my own math (I hate that). Ultimately though, it was 3/8" OUTSIDE diameter.
