Hey Guys. I have an '85 F250 4x4 4 speed. I've noticed that when the engine starts cold, it idles smoothly. After warming up and driving for a bit, when I come to a stop, I'm noticing the engine idling a bit rougher. It's not much at all, but noticable to me. Just a tiny bit more "shaking" in the cab. Any ideas? Not sure if this is a problem because its so suttle but I want to stop it if its just the precursor of something worse.

196K on the engine. Its completely stock, naturally aspirated.

Thanks,

Max

The fast idle should be set when cold, you set it when you put your foot to the floor key on. Possibly the curb idle of the warm engine is not high enough..... in nuetral the hot engine curb idle should be 650 rpm.

i used to have the same problem, to the point where the idle would sorta jump back and forth about 75 rpm. i didnt have time to worry about it, i just put my foot on the gas and turned up the music, doesnt do it anymore
