My 2006 F250 6.0 while driving will sometimes show "0" RPMs at Idle then maybe 1000 WOT.. But the truck is fine drives fine I see no issue other than the RPM on the dash drops.. Only codes are from the EGR delete and P1000 or whatever it is for the onboard system readiness check not complete or something.. Any ideas? If I shut the truck off the RPM gauge seems to be fine.. Thanks!

Do you have a code reader? If the tach reads zero but the code reader is still reading good rpm it is probably an issue with the instrument panel. If the code reader rpm also drops off maybe it's a rpm signal problem?

It's a 2006.. I have an edge monitor I'll set the RPM gauge on it and see what happens.. You guys think it will affect performance at all?

Confirmed tonight.. The RPM on the tach will drop to zero but on my Edge CTS the RPMs show as normal. Any suggestions?

But will a bad RPM gauge on the dash mess anything up with the truck itself performance wise? My EDGE CTS reads RPMs just fine so it's the dash..
