I saw a pic of a truck that had ford matching bedboards last month.What the guy did was buy a set of boards that fit a standard cab and cut them down to fit.Leave the rounded part on the leading edge of the bed and the cut part terminated at the rear wheel opening.He then added a small mudflap to cover the raw edge of the trimed running board.
To support the running board he fabbed a ladder-like support that attached to the frame.The whole package looked just like a factory install......i was really impressed with the quality of the work.
I think he said he got the cab boards from a wrecked truck and the price wasn't that much.Most of the time was spent making up the support structure.I liked the look so much that i think i might even try to do the same thing.He had a great idea and with alittle work ended up with a nice install on the cheap.
