What are approximately the minimum amount of mods it takes to run at the track in the high 13's/ low 14's range at the track? and that is safely.... I see some 1/4 times some guys' sigs and I have no idea what it takes. Thanks...

Depending on the rods and saying you already have gauges..I'd say the basic intake and exhaust. Then injectors, turbo, and a chip. If you haven't already, you'd wanna beef up your tranny too.

nitrous. or lot's of money! depends on what truck you got. with poder metal rods, you'lll be on threshold of blowing it up to get low 14's. swap the rods, then do mods! i think i sounded like johnny cochran! can i patent that slogan?

dont quote me on it it was just a guess. I ran low 15s with edge stuff. I got a dp tuner chip and snow stage 2 since then so its only a guess. Someone on this site will know what kinda time a 352 hp will get me.

What is your cab/bed config?
A calculator says you need 375+ to run 15.0 flat with an 8,000lb truck.

Without my canopy I'm weighing in at about 8300 lbs w/ driver. I'm guessing i'm running an easy 15.0 in the 1/4. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

depending on gear ratio and horsepower and torque curve 1/4 mile math is an estimate many things can play into factor and unless EVERYTHING is taken into consideration an estimate is mearly still an estimate

Ill just have to take it to the las vegas drag strip. Just have to wait till the summertime ends. dont see me making to much horsepower in 115F heat. Tires would prolly stick nicely though.

he's got 4x4, stock height and tires, it's a pretty safe bet he'll be close to the estimate. gearing is right and 4x4 traction it's usually gonna be pretty much the same time every time unless the tranny is junk.

I'll be running in the next week or two, with my reg cab,4x4 I should be close to the 13/14 barrier, according to my SOTP-o-Meter.

I never trust those Gasser calculators, they don't account for the nearly double TQ we have down low.

In any event, I am curious to see what she does. I haven't dyno'd in a while, so I'm not really sure where I'm at Should be close to 400 give or take.

BIGPOWER: what are you running to get 447? just curious. Nice numbers BTW!

It takes about 450hp to get there. Unfortuatly with your truck that means digging into the motor to swap out those rods.
