My 460 tends to run hot when towing. Before you say install gauges, I know and I agree. But how hot is this probably?

I need to make this thing last another few months until I can upgrade to a newer truck.

Rod out the radiator, Use high quaility radiator hoses, Be sure the fan clutch is working properly, Use quality coolant.

OBS Fords have radiators prone to plugging up after a while. You could try a good flush, but best bet is a new radiator.

I drive 2 older fords that run like that. they never have any problems i just assumed the gauge was wrong
