I just installed an S&B Intake today - love the sound and the decreased turbo lag. This afternoon, everything was great. I just got home tonight, though, and it sounded like it was chugging to a stop (for lack of a better term) when I turned off the engine. I started it up again and it did the same thing when I turned it off a second time. The noise was definitely new since installing the intake and was coming from that side of the engine. Has anyone else experienced this?

Perfectly normal. It did that stock, you just couldnt hear it through the restrictive stock intake.

Yeah it's normal for S&B, mine does it as well... if you go wot then let off it sounds like it's laughing cause you can hear the turbo's barking thru the intake. Sounds awsome.

I was thinking about buy this intake because people say the stock one closes up somehome on WOT. I've looked at my monitor over and over under different conditions and never see it needing to be reset. What are people taking about?

When running one of the higher HP tunes it will suck in the filter minder and give you a "Check Engine Light". Not a big deal just a bit of a pain having to re-set it every time you get on it.

I'll be running the EDGE attitude with the stock air filter for now. Does that mean I probably won't even notice this action if I stick to the lower settings?

You should be fine. I think when you start getting near the 500hp mark is when the issues start and you need a CAI.

Yeah, you should be fine with the Edge J/A. Its the higher HP boxes that will suck it closed. It will suck close with much less than 500 HP though.
