Can these be had from a salvage vehicle? If so, what exactly should be grabbed from it, besides the switches, obviously.

There is a wiring harness w/relays(one assembly, a filler bin(if no brake controller) and the switches. It can be bought for $88.34 on line new.

yeah, i know, i was just seeing if i could get it cheaper than that. So far i have called THREE dealers' parts departments....one told me he had never heard of the switches, one told me they can't be added, and one said "the what's? Are they for like the windows?".


Where do they find these people?

If i wanted to buy it separate, the parts list on dieselmann's site is different from the one on powerstroke site, which lists a part number that doesnt even exist in any of ford's databses that i can see.

I got mine from the powerstrokeshop for $77. Well worth the money and very easy to install. I'm sure you could take the switches out of a wrecked truck just make sure you get all the hardware that goes with it.
