how many miles is a good amount "break in time" before puting the sct tunes to it? right now I have 3500 miles thinking arround 5,000-7,000 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Some say when you drive off the lot, some say 2,000, some say 10,000, and some say when the 100,000 mile warrenty runs out. It is really a personal preferrence.

i chipped my truck with superchip 1704 at 900 miles, and sct at 2900 miles. the motor will hold up, its the drive train you want to break in, loosen it up, so to speak. this would be the reason some people dont tow with thier trucks right away. motor will handle it, but let the rear end settle for a few hundred miles. motor needs little if any break in, and trannys do not need to be broken in. thats my knowledge and opinion, like he said personal preference
