Those who have the livewire, how do you like it? Does the livewire come with three tunes like the Xcal 2? any other thoughts/comments about it? I'm thinking of purchasing the Xcal 2 or the livewire so I just need a little feedback on it.

Hello Hawaiian,

I just got a LiveWire this week, programmed my truck and I personally love it. Great little device.

There are a few problems with it that I have found, but SCT is working on most of them from what I hear.
Problems are:
1) Contrast display issue, which I believe has been discussed here before
2) Wrong display units on the device. some readings are Kpa instead of standard US units.
3) Oil temperature reading is off.. maybe it's just something minor.
4) IT IS HUGE!!

But, I think some of the qualities and the performance, plus the capability of having a 3rd party company get you custom toonz for your truck is awesome. If you don't have an EGR monitor now, I would purchase the LiveWire just for the capability of having that option. I got mine from Ted and Eric at Innovative and been really happy.

The biggest complaint I've heard of the livewire is the size...its pretty big. I have the Xcal2 and like it. I don't need to change tunes that much, and it fits easily in the center console or glove box.

Thanks guys. I already have the X-monitor on my a-pillar so maybe I'll just go with the x-cal2.

I had the livewire and exchanged it for the xcal2. The screen quality was horrible in my opinion. The screen wasn't consistant across it so certain areas were faint where others were clear. If I put 4 or 5 options for monitoring on the screen I couldn't read what each option was.

It was also way to big for me.. I ended up getting the xcal2 yesterday and waiting for a commandor monitor which is on back order. IF you already have a monitor.. just go with the xcal2.

I have the commander monitor and I really like it. I have heard it works great with the SCT

How much is the commander going for , I need to get some gauges for my truck. Theres not muck talk down on the 7.3 forum about live wire, so I though you guys might be have some ideas. As you see I
'm running a SCT xcal2, does the commander give good info on whats going on? Any thoughts are apreciated.
