Im guessing this has been done. how much work to put an 6spd ZF in my 97 PSD? i put a ZF in an auto 94 a couple years back but it had a 5.8. im guessing the same deal? any advice?

you also need the zf6 xfer case$$$$$$$

Stick with the ZF-5 speed, cheaper and their more fun to drive /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

To change it out you will need the ZF6, super Duty Xfer case, adjust the length of both drive shafts, and mover the cross member.

would the super duty driveshafts be usable? I would need a new computer too right? I needed a new comptuer in my 94

been told no, the auto computer will work with the stick, but I had an auto computer run funny in a stick truck so I will tell ya you have yours reburned.

It's quite a bit of work, but in my opinion it makes a much better package. Where are you at in WI. I work in Lacrosse. I did the swap on my 96 F350; you might want to take a look at it. If you want you can give me a call. My number is 507 450 3301.
