I'd like to replace the existing (ugly, blue, worn, stinky carpet) interior with something tan and attractive. Have been investigating seats, seat covers, and a vinyl floor. I understand that paint technology has caught up and that Krylon for Plastic works great on interior surfaces; comments? Does anyone have any suggestions re seats or seat covers? I saw a King Ranch interior for $2900 on eBay, and as much as I'd like an interior that resembles a baseball glove, I can't swing it. Suggestions?

I saw a sweet setup on "Trucks!" last weekend. New leather covers that go on your original seats, take your old upholstery off and put new stuff on...looked easy and turned out really nice(on TV).

As far as painting your interior plastic goes I have done this before to a Honda Civic, I removed the dash and all the vents, switches, guages, door panels, etc., prepped the surfaces w/xylene I think, then I put about 6 super light coats of black on everything and it turned out so sweet it looked like a brand new interior. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

The results I got were so nice I wouldn't hesitate to do it again to any car/truck. Good luck w/your project and post some pics of the finished project.

The company that makes the covers is called Katskinz. Look 'em up on Google.

I swapped my seat covers out for Katzkin leathers about 6 months ago and WOW what a difference. Mine is a crew cab so it's more but it's well worth it. Even kicked in the extra $$$ and had seat heaters put in also. Don't laugh ... they are real nice on long trips where the old back gets tight ... flick the switch and ... AHHHhhhhhh /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

It's Katzkin, not Katskinz. The latter takes you to some junk website with more popups than the Pillsbury Bakery. FYI.

Can you post some picture? I have been looking for superduty seats for a while but I might as well do something like this if it looks good and lasts.
