i can get this turbo very cheaply from my friend (he's the seller here). you guys think this would be a good turbo to help spool the stocker??

Just put a 1.0 exhaust housing on your stock turbo or get a chip, then you'll have no problems spooling stocker.

I don't see a waste gate so I would be afraid that one may become a restriction that would push your EGTS up a lot.

If you are keeping your truck as is and aren't going for injectors I would just go for the .84 exhaust housing and you will spool up really quick.
