My 99 7.3l F 250 had a bad icp sensor. Replaced it and all was good but a couple hiccups still. Cam sensor went out shortly after. The service engine soon light came on at the same time. Replaced the cam but the light is still on. Shot a code for icp again. The only issue it seams to have is starting rougher than normal in the cold. I removed the icp and put I back to make sure it was in well. Light is still on. Any ideas?????

Welcome to the forum.

What brand of ICP and CPS did you install?

Several aftermarket brands have high failure rates...even shortly after install.

I probably missed it, but did you clear the codes? IPR ? Nuts loose? Leaking? Clean and replace o rings on it? ICP code doesn't just mean the sensor, could be getting bad IPR operation messing up the pressure.

I have not checked the ipr yet. There are no leaks and could not clear codes.
You can clear codes by disconnecting both batteries for just a bit. If that doesn't turn off the SES light, then you'll need to follow up on it. Post the code you get and we can help you track it down.

How did the wiring pigtail look on the ICP sensor?

disconnecting batteries did not clear the codes. The codes I got are P1280 ICP circuit out of range low, P1249 waste gate control valve, P0603 Internal control model Kam error. I have just replaced the Kam and Icp sensor. I don't think there is an issue with the waste gate control valve as I got that code before when the icp was bad. Turbo sounds great and that code went away when I replaced the icp. I replaced the icp 4 months ago. is it possible it is bad already? Did not need to replace it for two years prior.

Disconnect your batteries and leave them unplugged for a bit. Turn on headlights or cycle the key- something to bleed off residual voltage from capacitors in the PCM. The codes should be gone then.

Arcticdriver's question is on point. What brand parts did you get. How are the pigtails? Any dry, cracking, or chaffed wires? How about that tin nut on the IPR? Fuel pressure?

I'm ordering an international icp because the one I put in 4 months ago was from Napa. All the other codes seams to be derived from the icp. However, the truck starts great if plugged in??
If your truck runs great after the block heater is plugged in overnight then you probably want to test your GPR and GPs. You can test these with a multimeter.

If your GPRelay fails the tests then you might want to order a Stancor White-Rogers replacement. They are twice the size of the stock relay and last more than twice as long for the same money:

Different issues.

The GPR won't throw a code.

But if you have problem cold starts and they go away when you plug in the block heater for 3+ hours, that is often a symptom of a faulty GPR and/or GPs so its worth checking that out...but it would be a separate issue from the ICP and CPS as far as I know.

EDIT:
Unless your truck is a California vehicle and has a GP Control Module instead or a GPR.
If thats the case then I think it does throw a code but I am not sure which one?
