Ok So this weekend I plan on doing a complete service on my truck...

This is what I researched so far b/c I don't have a owner's manual to go by...

Coolant - Fill with green stuff add NapaCool

Tranny - Mercon

What do you all run for engine oil, dino variety, synthetic is to expensive for me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

And I'm assuming 90w in the rear... Thanks

You can more than likely get all the literature for your truck on ebay.
15W40 or SAE30 is the recommended engine oil.
Mercon for the tranny and the transfer case.
90wt for both Ford and Dana with 8oz Friction Modifier for the 10.25, and 4oz for the Dana. This info is from my '94 specification book, Tim

Ditto... except I was told by a longtime wrench for a fleet of these trucks to use full synthetic ATF in the tranny. He didn't bother to say *WHY* it was neccessary over reg. ATF, but he's had about 10 years worth of experience on a about 500 Ford diesels ('86-up). I found some Mobile1 Full Syn ATF for about $5/qt. at the local AutoZoo...used it in the tranny and reg. ATF in the transfer. Tranny's actually beginning to shift better! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
