Could it be the speed sensor in transmission or bad PSOM

VSS is in the rear end vice the transmission. It could be either as far as the VSS aand PSOM. Knowing the trouble code that has been set in the PCM (OD light flashing) will help direct you to what's wrong. Cheers!

I’ve checked the Vss and next I’m checking the PSOM and I don’t have the money to take it to the shop and have the code read

Do you have the money to throw parts at it? That can get expensive in a hurry. If you have a smartphone or laptop, I would look at getting the Forscan App (or Forscan Lite) and an interface adapter so you can read the codes yourself.

Patrick can you or someone else with good experience give us the brand of ELM you are using. The Foseal WiFi one I have seems to be glitching out on me, it does not want to talk to my forescan, tourqe, or OBD II port without many attempts of plugging it in. When it works it works great, just takes at least 4-5 tries. Point is sometimes the cheapest ebay one is exactly what you get.

I just looked at my adapter and it is discontinued. I got it off of Amazon for around $30

Thanks guys! I am going to say lets leave this alone on this post, I feel it has hijacked Cemichell"s original questions. Also has given him and I some good options for readers too! I am going to research some options and may start another tread later with some questions I have. Again thanks for the information and lets return this back to the original question.

I've had this problem in my 1996 Van. I noticed the issue was with the ignition key & cylinder assembly being worn out and not being turned into the proper position and thus not all the proper connection were being made.
