In town there is a 6.0 05, bulletproofed lifted, stacks, after market rims(don't like them all that much) road amour brush gard, lariat. 4x4, 115000 on it. Asking 18500. It has 36 inch nittio mud grapplers. And fox suspension. In side is very clean. My father is telling me to walk away and find a 7.3 with low miles on it. But looking around where I live online I can't find anything under 190000. He has a 7.3, loves it as do I 316,000 second trany. Body is starting to go. So do I keep looking around because all the after market on the truck, what do I do. All opinions wanted!!

Even if the 6.0 problems are fixed(Bulletproofing). I would think after the problems are addressed you shouldn't have to worry about them anymore. The guy I would be buying it from said he has all the paper work and would give it to me.

I wouldn't trade my bullet proof 6.0 for a 7.3, 7.3 still break. My father in law got more in his 7.3, then I've got in my 6.0 about the same miles. The power difference is night in day. The tranny behind the 6.0 is way better to.

That's a rarity. Most of us with 7.3s have almost nothing in them repair wise. I'm down one alternator and one water pump at a quarter million miles. Original transmission and 19 MPG.

It funny to bc I just got back from hunting got down to -0, two of my buddy have 7.3 and both of them wouldn't start. My 6.0 start right up and the 2 cummins start up to. Ones in the shop bc it started leaking diesel out.

Sounds like every 7.3 you get close to breaks down. Maybe you're emitting some kind of kryptonite field. Stay away from my truck! ?

My dad gave me the best advice...Never buy the first car (or truck) you look at :smile2:

Maybe buy an Edge Insight first if you are serious on buying a 6.0; you never know how other humans have treated a used truck.
