The looks of the new Lariat package and the new grill sold me on the new 2006 F-250 6.0L PSD. I traded a '01 7.3L that was absolutely the best truck I've ever owned. I put off buying a 6.0L due to watching all the guys on this forum have probs, I figured after 3 years surely they would have it right. Well I was wrong, 9k miles on the truck and injector #5 took a dump, it was obvious that an injector had failed because you could feel the cylinder missing and the engine try to come out from under the hood when you accelerated. So I took it in to Ford, they honored, hooked me up with a free rent car and got me on my way. On the flip side my dad has a 06 F-250 6.0L KR and has had 10k trouble free miles. I really hope I have no more problems as I was really pleased with my 2001 PSD.

Do you guys think I will have more injector failures ? The build date on my truck was 08/05, I’m not sure of the engine build date.

Now after my rant, what exactly does the 100k mile warranty cover ? Is it just the engine or is the TorqShift covered as well ?

Will you have more injector failures? Depends, did they find out why the 1st one failed? A lot of 05 and 06 engine injector failures are caused by some other part not working right, IE. low fuel pressure.
