Good morning everyone. Three weeks ago I purchased a used 2012 Ford F250 King Ranch with 74k miles on it (it had been serviced at 73k miles so good there). Truck has run great so far and just needed some small body repair but nothing engine related. Last night I noticed some oil spots on my driveway that have accumulated over the last 3.5 weeks that I've owned the truck. Luckily I purchased the FMC Premium warranty so I should be good there (and have made an appointment for tomorrow to get it looked at).

My question: Is it normal for these 6.7 diesels to leak quarter-sized spots of oil overnight or after a few hours of being parked (the pic below is the oil accumulation of about 2 weeks)? It wasn't an overwhelming amount of oil, but one of the Ford techs I spoke to on the phone said that these trucks shouldn't be leaking any oil at all. Thanks.

Unless this is residual oil from an oil change that is working its way down the block and to the ground, (IMHO) there should be zero leaks. I would take it in and have it checked out--especially since you have a warranty. Over time, the oil will accumulate and attract dirt creating a mess on the engine and underside of the truck.
