Noticed today that the 08 versions of the SnugTop caps are available. Anyone knows if they are different from the previous ones? Thanks

The 08 lid is a little differant due to the top edge of the tailgate.
There are also 2 differant lids for the 08. One is for the standard tailgate and the other is for the tailgate with the built in step. The top edge of the tailgate with the step sticks out a little further due to the step.

Where did you see the '08 version? I have an '02 with a Snug top super sport but I'm putting on an '08 tailgate(non step) soon and think I'll have a problem with the door shutting. I'd like to see what they did different. I'm thinking they did a new bottom fiberglass trim?

I am not sure what all the differances are but I know the shape of the back edge is differant on the 08. The top edge of the tailgate sticks out a little and is not rounded like years past. I have a snug top on my 08 and the modle I have is a new one. I gues before ( which you can still get if you want )it had 2 locks, one on each corner and the one I have has 1 lock in the middle. Also when you close it you just have to push it down and it will lock with out turning a key.
