After installing AFE stage 2 on my 2000 f350 7.3 I now hear a hiss more than before. You can hear the turbo spooling up but the hiss sounds like the waste gate is open. When towing and the transmission changes I hear the whose but there is a hiss till I let up on the gas and then get back in it. The hiss is not as bad if you are heavy in the gas when the transmission changes. I am running the Hyper programmer in the 2nd mode. Any ideas?

The hiss sounds like a boost leak.

The waste gate is internal and you can not hear it operate as it dumps directly into the exhaust.

You might want to check the EBPV as it will cause a hiss if it is partially closed also.
