I was looking into getting a spin on tranny filter and I was wondering where it should go(before or after coolers)? It's a perma cool spin on kit is it good or not? thanks

I put mine spin on before the coolers as well. Mine filter housing had a temperature sender port on it. That is where I measure my ATF temperature. I think I got my filter kit from Summit before the sponsors offered them. I mounted mine in front of the right front tire behind the bumper on a homemade bracket. Easy to change and easy to pump out most of the ATF when changing fluids. Just pull the filter and put a 5 gallon bucket under it and run the engine until fluid stops and drain the rest through the pan drain. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/warmsmile.gif

I have the dieselsite.com kit, and it's installed after the cooler, just ahead of the connection to the hard line back to the tranny. Also mounted up front on the passenger side on a custom bracket as mentioned above. Should make it easy to do a flush whenever I get around to it. There should be a pic of it under my PICS link below.
