anybody ever have their brake lights just come on?may seem to come on during the day and stay on for about 10 sec then go out.this happens thru out the day.replaced brake light switch but didnt fix.any one have any suggestions.thanks-other than exorcism

Mine is doing the same thing. Did you ever find out what the cause was and how to fix it? My neighbor called me last night and asked if I was in my truck. He said "someone" was pressing the brake pedal. After I grabbed my gun and cleared it of any "bad guys" it came on again by its self. This morning, dead battery.

Guessing here without a wiring diagram in front of me, but it could be the multifunction switch (turn signals, etc.) The brake light signals go thru that switch. Is the high mount brake light coming on also?
