Good day all,

I have a question that I cant seem to find an answer for. My truck is a 2015 CC LWB SRW F350 4x4 Diesel. I ordered it with the camper package. It has 3.55 gears and no other front suspension upgrade choices from the factory. The VIN tag inside the drivers door has a front GAWR of 6000# with a spring code of CCLL on the bottom right of the VIN tag. When I cross reference 6000# factory coil springs with the coil spring codes from Ford I see F81A-5310-AHD is the 6000# coil spring. The actual tag attached to my front coils both read 5C34-5310-ACD and according to that code it's a 4000# coil spring.

Did the factory put it in the wrong springs?

Thanks

John

I just punched my VIN into the parts website for Ford and it says that the spring chosen and installed on my truck is part #F81A-5310-AHD (6000) but my spring on the truck clearly has a tag wrapped around the middle of the coil that reads 5C34-5310-ACD which is the 4000# coil.

What's the likelihood of the dealer taking care of what appears to be a mistake from the factory?

Here's another question regarding the increase in ride height one might accomplish thru the 6000# or 7000# springs.

I have read a few posts in my research this morning where people that installed the 6000 and 7000 pound springs essentially leveled their trucks and that's the only mod they made. I know all of the trucks are set up in different configurations but mine has 2.5" of difference from front to back. Every company I have talked with that sells aftermarket leveling kits has told me to get an adjustable track bar. Why is an adjustable track bar not needed when upgrading OEM springs to the 6000 or 7000 springs? Does Ford make different length track bars depending on the spring rating? it would seem logical to me that if I just wanted to level the truck I would install the 6000 or 7000 pound springs and be done with it.
