What are the spring rates for the front and rear leaf packs?

I know that there were different rear leaf options available, Where on the sticker is the code again?

Obviously this will give me lift, I was just wondering if the rear leaves would fail under the weight of a 7.3 diesel...

Anyways, I should think so, but its a risk Im not willing to take. Therefore I decided to check in here first. Also, I know two people over at FTE who did it on their trucks (early model 70's F250's w/ 460's in them) and they said that their ride improved due to the greater number of leaves in hte rear pack.

Thanks RA

i don't have any spring rate info, but from what i know about the weight i've put in the bed of my truck, i'm confident the rear leafs could support the motor.

How much weight have you loaded into your truck?
The only possible prob I could see with it is that when you load up your bed its usually temporary. When you put them in the front, its a constsant load...1250lb engine.

what if you had an in bed camper always in the truck? I bet the springs would wear no sooner than if they were under constant load on the rear. if you can make it work it will definately handle the weight of the engine.
