My 89 250 front coils seem to be really tired....my rear leafs as weell. Plan on putting air bags on rear but need some suggestions on the front. I would really like to get 1" to 2" of lift on the front. I have seen the red bags that go inside the front springs but figured they would kill the ride?.....and don't know if they would even give any lift?.... Anyone out there that has replaced front coils that may have some part numbers or suggestions for me?

Thanks!

I have used air bags front and rear......... my advice is replace the coils. If it still is too low then a lift kit may be required...... Check with your local offroad store.....

As for the rear, coils on a good set of shocks or re arch the old ones.

I recently went to a local fabrication shop that deals with Welding anything, trailer braking systems and truck suspensions.

They quoted me $600 for the rear set including; Leaf Springs, Hangers, Hardware, Shackle, 4 leaf helpers, and the helper stops.

Then it's about 300 bucks for the front springs if you go OEM through a parts store.

Moog Springs

I bought a set of them from Rockauto.com for 89.00 a year ago. My front fender was about 1 inch above tire. After new springs it is about 4 inches.
They are variable rate springs so they still ride pretty good. Well worth the time to do.
