I know there has been a lot of threads started on this, but I don't want to wrong with this decision. I have a 1996 7.3. Mods: TS 6 pos chip, 3.5 in straight pipe, 6637 intake. I'm trying to decide between stage 1 or stage 2 injectors. I am leaning towards the 2s, but I am worried about the trans. Transmission was completely rebuilt and has 30,000 miles on it and it has an aftermarket triple dick torque converter. So will the transmission be able to handle the power of the stage 2s and eventually a new turbo? Also how long will the stock turbo last with the 2s?

I'd guess the tranny lasts longer than the turbo. You'll also need to upgrade the fuel and possibly the HPOP.

The transmissions life is going to depend on how you drive. If you like to beat everyone through the intersection and like to show off your power then the transmission is going to die a early death. Also if you tow heavy a lot.
