I have a 2002 7.3 all stock except for Dp-Tuner. The other day I pulled a boat to the river and it did fine all of the way there. When I backed the trailer down the ramp I put the truck in park, but hit the DP switch and the truck stalled and shut off. So I unplugged the switch and pluggged it in. So on the way home it still didn't act right. The truck was stalling every time when it shifted from 1st to 2nd. It was almost like a studder. When I got home it barely had enough power to pull up a steep drive-way. I don't think it's a loose connection because I moved the switch around checking for a loose wire. Anybody have any idea what it could be?

Have you actually removed the chip from the computer to see if you still have the problem?

First of all, why are you running a chip on a stock truck? You really should have gauges at the minimum, and if you had the gauges you would probably want a better exhaust and intake to keep EGT temps down. Okay done preaching,
Do you have a No Start position on the chip? Is the newer version or older? Do you have the updated shielded cord installed?

You're right, I need guages. But none-the-less I still have a problem. I just got the chip about 2 months ago. So I'm not sure if it is the new version or not. As of yesterday the truck only "acted funny" one time. It could be a connection problem. I probably will disconnect the whole thing and clean and reconnect. I will call Jody Thurday when he re-opens. Thanks!

Pull the chip completely and see if the problem goes away. If it does clean everything real good and hook it all back up and see if the problem goes away. Good Luck.

clean again. If the connector falls out of the selector or chip/ecm, the truck will (slowly, over a period of about 10 seconds) slow and die.
