I have a 93 F-350 7.3 turbo IDI. I have replaced all the gp 5 months ago and replaced the gp control module at the same time. I took the truck on 2000 mile round trip to Idaho for some hunting, everything ran and worked fine. The wait to start light stayed on for the amount of time my ford book said it should for the outside temp. A week after I came back it started acting up and not starting well in the am. Now the wtsl only stays on five seconds and truns off, every am when I try to start the beast. This of course has lead to me killing my starter. Is there anything I am missing? Is there a temp sensor somewhere that is not working right? Need help. Thanks.

What kind of glowplugs did you put in I had the same problem, they were only 4 or 5 months old and started having the same starting issues, asked on the forum here and was told the gps might be toast i had some off name in it, and learnt my lesson ONLY run beru, or motorcraft ZD9s,(check on ebay or go to and internatational dealer they have BERU) I got mine off ebay for a great price, I have had mine in for a few months now and no issues I have done a 1200 mile trip and dont even need to plug it in in below freezing temps, :ford:

I used motocraft, but i'm not sure if they were the zd9 type. I'll do all the diagnostic testing again and see how they test, but first I have to go put in the new starter. I guess 235,000 miles on the original isn't bad. Thanks for you help.
