Ok, need some help here. I have an 2004 F350 dually that has always had abnormally easy steering. When I say abnormally easy, I mean you could steer it with your pinky, and it steers so easy it's almost hard to drive straight.

Today I was at idle and got out to hook up my trailer and I had red oil dripping on the ground. Raised the hood but the oil was getting on the belt and throwing oil everywhere so i couldn't see where it was coming from. Turned truck off and now it's NOT leaking. Topped of tranny fluid and power steering fluid, put truck in all gears, turned the steering wheel and nothing NO leaks now.

I am stumped there is about a pint of oil on the ground under the truck and I'm afraid to drive it.

A friend that owns a shop thought maybe there is something wrong with the pump, pressure too high?

Is there some kind of blow off valve when the pressure gets too high that could have released oil?

HELP!!!

It's my only vehicle and I am afraid to drive it now.

I like how easy the steering is, but it's unlike ANY vehicle I have ever been in. It takes some getting use to. Most people swerve when they first drive it. Almost like it wants to turn itself, lol.

I just drove the truck about 10 miles and it's NOT leaking. I don't get it... why did it puke oil all over my driveway and now it's not leaking, even after topping it off?

Our friend that owns a shop want me to bring it in to put a new pump on it. I needed to take this truck on a road trip Thursday.

Any advice anyone???

Was it low on power steering fluid before it happened? Once on my truck, my fluid got pretty low, and I turned to full lock while parallel parking and it dumped fluid. But ditto on wishing my truck was that easy to turn!
