I bought the truck used and never really noticed the problem until a little while ago. If your at a stand still and pump the brakes a few times they become extremely stiff and the truck really has a hard time coming to a stop. Im guessing its the vacuum pump...Any suggestions????

What are we working on would be a good start. Modifications would be a great follow up. Any other concerns noticed might be a nice addition, too.

There is no vacuum assist with your brakes. It is a hydroboost system run off of the powersteering pump. What grampy is asking for is the year and model of your truck and any modifications to it. Put these in your signature (located in the "My Home" page) to help us help you.

Its a 1997 F-350 7.3 liter PSD. Its got about 130k on it and still runs strong, I just cant figure this brake problem out. I have no mod's on it everything is stock except the exhaust. The only trouble i ever have with the powersteering is when i have the plow up in the air and im at a stand still trying to turn the tire..its hard than normal...but I thought that was a given with the extra weight, right?
