On the top of the rear leafs of my 2005 350 4X4 SD there is a single leaf and some mounting bracket. I had a lift kit installed and they didn't reinstall this leaf set-up. Two questions,
What does Ford call this part and what does this single spring do?
Should I have them put it back on for me?
Thanks for the help.

Mark to answer your questions. Ford calls it an overload spring. It rides on the brackets on the top on the frame. Should you have them put it back on. only if they hit the brackets on the top. If they did not put the spacer between the spring kit and the overload then the overload will do nothing to help.

You bought a F350 , now you have a F175 without those overloads...I'd be pissed.

Did they at least ask you if you didn't want them on?
