Today my truck started to miss at speeds below 70mph. Twice it missed hard enough for the check engine light to blink on then right off. It does only while holding it at a steady speed not during acceleration and deceleration. Any help would be nice. I wish I had a scan tool it might make things easier.

Question for you guys but if it was clogged pick-up screens in the tank then wouldn't it stumble more with higher accleration instead of at lower?

Soon as you have some codes get back to us and we will go from there.
Come back with the readings for ICP / IPR duty cycle.
Is the ICP the original one?

I have a feeling you will find injector stiction. The injectors bind up on the hydraulic side until stronger pressure frees it up. This can be seen by taking the covers off and observing the injectors. No oil will be coming from the discharge spouts until a certain rpm or hydraulic pressure is achieved, then the oil will start pumping and that cylinder will start hitting again.
HoT Shot can bring them back if not too far gone.
This will be on a scanner; a good buzz test but bad cylinder contribution tests.
