NO; programmer are made like that for a reason...so they can make money on them and so that one can't be used to program a million trucks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif You can program yours back to stock then go program another truck with it if you are that good of friends with whoever it is /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/phoney.gif...I can't stand going back to stock for even 5 minutes personally. Bottom line, you can only program one truck at one given time. I hope I'm right on this...I'm pretty sure it is what I read! I don't think it will only work on yours after you have programmed it as long as you return to stock. Maybe someone can clarify!

Yep, jeff27 is right you can program another truck if you are willing to go back to stock. Although, the programmer is made for certain year trucks so make sure the next truck is within the years the programmer was designed for.

Is it possible ot take out the vin lock on a superchip programer so it can be used on another truck.....

It's just like Jeff said. I've returned mine to stock before and used the programmer on friends trucks to let them see what running a program is like. The programmer is only good for one truck at a time.

Now you can use it to read codes on anyones truck.

BEWARE-----
Already "been there done this"

If you return to stock, and stuff you programmer on another truck, you run the chance of that truck's PCM code not being in the programmer's database.
I wanted to show a friend of mine how great the thing was, so I returned to stock, and plugged it in to his. It came back with an error-"Return for Service" on the screen. I called, and they said that the particular truck I tried to program had a code that the programmer wasn't set up for. I had to return it to be re-flashed. Everything worked fine after that, and they did it for free, but I was without it for about 3 weeks.
Basically - Ford does updates, and that truck had been updated, but the programmer was not.
Try returning to stock for 3 WEEKS!!!

Glad to know that. I won't be doing that anymore.
